For auction is a silver necklace made by a Hmong tribal member of Thailand. The design consists of 51 silver sea-shell beads with each bead being about 1/2" diameter. Total length is 26". The beads are tightly corded. End pieces are knotted which is typical of Hmong jewelry pieces. Silver content is probably in the range of 40% to 50%, again typical of Hmong jewelry. Purchased in Thailand by the deceased store owner in the late 1990s. The necklace is an inventory piece from the now closed high-end store.
