- This pretty Chrysanthemum styled dress clip is made of Bakelite with a beautifully scrolled clip on the back. The carving is highly detailed, it is 8 mm thick 1 3/4 inches in diameter and the clip features the patent #1852188. This tests positive for Bakelite but I forgot to test the metal. The clip is nice and tight and the piece is in excellent condition. This is a great, well crafted piece and would make a nice addition to any Bakelite collection. I honestly don't know if this is considered a dress or fur clip. It has little metal teeth. If you know the difference, I would be happy to find out.
