A vintage 1950’s-ish men’s wristwatch, branded as SHELDON. DOES RUN…but not with gusto. This watch needs to be cleaned and loved…it does show some wear, and was probably used daily when new. Dial says “SWISS” at the bottom of the 6 position, but you can barely see it in the picture. When it runs - the second hand sweeps very smoothly, which makes me think it might run on a battery. It actually reminds me of my Dad’s early Acutron wristwatch. I haven’t had much luck researching the brand …but did find reference to Hamilton making a specific watch named “Sheldon” in the 1950’s….so it’s sort of a mystery item, at least to me. And please bid accordingly if it turns out to be some rare gem of a watch!! Thanks!!
