- This auction is for a vintage 1940’s guaranteed Bakelite double strand beaded necklace. This is in excellent condition with no chips or dings to the Bakelite beads. Nice smooth surface on the beads. The stringing seems secure but I would probably restring it to be safe. I do guarantee all the Bakelite I sell to be Bakelite. The necklace measures 20” end to end on the shortest strand. The largest bead in the center front measures over 23 1/2mm but it’s actually a bit larger than that. My mm gauge won’t open any farther.
