- Professor O. C. Zienkiewicz was educato in Poland and read for his B.Sc. degree a Imperial College, London. In 1965 the degree of D.Sc. was conferred upon him by the University of London. Y. K. Cheung, who worked with Professor Zienkiewicz on parts of this book, graduated at the South China Institute of Technology and from 1958 practised as a structural engineer.
