- The brooch is large, measuring about 3-5/8" x 2" and weighing about 37 grams or 1.3 oz. The brooch is marked Mexico 925 and has a paper tag with the name Maya and C for copyright and the number 200. The stylized design has the head attached separately on top of the single piece of silver representing the body, legs and looped tail, layering the silver for depth. There is normal vintage wear to the pin, with small light scratches throughout. The pin mechanism is in very good condition, with a straight pin and secure closure.
