- A beautiful necklace handmade from NEW translucent powder glass African beads and NEW Ashanti / Akan brass beads strung on a wax cord. The brass beads are made in the Ashanti region ( Kumasi - Ghana, West Africa ) using the Ancient "Lost wax" technique. A mold is prepared for each bead that is destroyed in order to remove the bead! For each bead a hand made mold from wax is needed! The glass beads ( Krobo land - Ghana, West Africa ) are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then into molds in order to create this nice looking beads.
