- Up for bid is a 170 Gram Slab of Reef Amethyst Laced agate. It is a awesome specimen. It has white laced lines mixed in the purple, makes a very nice pattern. It takes a bright polish. This is one outstanding rock. This unique gem will make gorgeous cabs or a unique specimen. It's 5-7/8'' x 4-1/8" x 1/4" at the widest points. There is a lip on the side where the saw didn't cut it all the way. All my slabs are rough material and they are not polished. Yes they have been cut on a slab saw only. I use soapy water to take photos in sun light which gives it a polished look. All slabs look different when dry and they have a dull look to them until your add water or clear coat paint or have them polished. As with all rocks there could be some fracturing.
