- A wonderful antique Victorian 9k gold, black enamel 'In Memoriam' floral memento mori mourning locket, dating to circa 1870. This beautiful Victorian solid 9k yellow gold mourning locket has a lovely floral engraved face inlaid with black enamel showing a winding flower at its center surrounded by black enamel petals reading 'In Memoriam', every area of the front and back is covered in intricate floral scrolling engravings, the back centered with a blank cartouche ready to be engraved, the locket with an attached hanging loop and a large dangling bail-lovely! The case of the locket is unmarked and tests for 9k gold. The locket measures about 44mm x 26mm including the bail. The bail will hold an approximate 6mm chain. The total weight of the locket is approximately 11.4 grams. The locket is in general good condition with all over wear.
