- Up for bid is a 145 Gram Slab of Banded Amethyst Lace agate. It is a awesome specimen. It has white laced lines mixed in the purple, makes a very nice pattern. It takes a bright polish. This is one outstanding rock. This unique gem will make gorgeous cabs or a unique specimen. This slab is uneven on the thickness. It's 4-3/4'' x 4-1/8" x 1/4" to 1/8" at the widest points. This slab does have a lip on the side where the saw didn't cut it all the way, and it has lots of pits and vugs. All my slabs are rough material and they are not polished. Yes they have been cut on a slab saw only. I use soapy water to take photos in sun light which gives it a polished look. All slabs look different when dry and they have a dull look to them until your add water or clear coat paint or have them polished. As with all rocks there could be some fracturing.
