thd.electronics.surplus is an eBay store that we opened to sell electronics surplus items, which we have accumulated, and to keep these separate from the Music Industry products that we design and manufacture in the small city of Snohomish, WA, USA. We have been around since 1987, at a number of different locations in and around Seattle, WA. We didn’t want a long list of surplus components, tools, and electronic equipment to cause confusion with our own products, so we created this new eBay identity in August of 2022. If you look at our other site, thd.company.store, you will see our history and 100% positive feedback rating.
When I closed our factory, there were five of these, which were no longer needed. As they were from around 1990, I thought it best to replace all of the aluminum electrolytic capacitors with new caps from Nichicon, Panasonic, and United Chemi-Con. This was completed on all 5 units in April, 2025. I also did a full factory set-up and alignment, as described in the service manual. I only photographed one of them, as they are all in more or less the same condition.
They all function perfectly, and thus are now good for roughly another 30 years of use.
The screen images show a 10mH inductor and a 1N4007 diode under test.
Each one will ship with a new US power cord, and two pairs of new Pomona mini-grabber test leads, as shows in the photos.
If you have been wanting a nice Huntron Tracker 1000, then you want one of these, as they were never abused, and, with the new electrolytic caps, leads, and power cord, are as good as you will find.
They come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Each unit will be packed in an oversized, strong box, with ample padding between the item and the shipping carton. I have a lot of experience packing fine and fragile items, having shipped roughly 200,000 cameras, meters, test devices, amplifiers, effects units, speakers, and musical instruments over the past 40 years, to roughly 100 countries around the world.
