- This is volume 2 of a three-volume set of introductory level college Physics textbooks written by Kenneth W Ford in 1972. This volume focuses on Thermodynamics and Electromagnetism. I bought this book new in 1977 and have held onto ever since because the fundamental concepts it covers will never go out of date and because of the 31 pages of reference material in the appendices that I have found to be very useful. These include trig formulas, derivatives, integrals, and exponents that we all learn but then forget if he haven't used them frequently enough.
I have now retired from teaching Engineering courses, so have decided it is time to clear out my bookshelf. Consequently, I am offering this book for sale. With the exception of some highlights of key concepts and formulas, my signature on the inside cover, and some wear on the corners and spine of the cover, this book is in excellent condition considering it is now almost 50 years old.
