This antique Victorian ring is crafted in 9kt gold in an ornate high gallery setting and embellished with three glowing orange red spessartite garnets. Garnets had deep meaning to the Victorians.They were associated with love, passion, protection, and the heart's desire. They were popular love tokens or engagement rings. The garnets are faceted and brilliant, with the larger inner stone measuring 4.5 mm and the outer stones 3 mm. The stones are securely set in substantial prongs. The ring is in good antique condition with light wear, including surface scratches and light patina. It is a size 6 1/2. It is marked 375 for 9K gold and weighs 2.03 grams.
