- Antique Cameo Brooch Of Neptune Poseidon-Victorian 9ct Gold Carved Shell ๐ Pin Lovely antique shell cameo carved to depict Neptune or Poseidon the god of the sea. He is portrayed here in a shell carriage with female companion and prancing horses riding the waves, his symbolic trident in his hand. Neptune is one of the more unusual cameo carvings and is not often seen making this cameo very collectable. The cameo is mounted in an open work bead frame stamped 9ct with gold safety chain. The shell is in good condition with fine stress lines natural to shell cameos, these are only seen when held to the light. Size: 4 cm x 5.5cm Weight : 10.4g
