    •  Some excellent tube gear came out of Japan in the 50&60s.The AKAI/Roberts  Terrecorder series,900, M-7 & 8 Series are all fine examples. The electronics are A+ engineered with a Choke input power supply which we've modified with much higher value electros.These 900 series units are the first I've rebuilt with"Gormet Caps",Sprague Orange Drops in signal path, Nicholson, Cornell,Mallory, Simiens etc.(Worth It) ! Now our norm!This is enough to seriously amp a very low output ribbon, and do this quietly...With Ballz ! The original input(s)are #1Hi -Z mic, great for Harp Mics, and as a direct in for Guitars & Bass,sound "Big-Open.Harmonics & transients cut right thru. The result is the "Plugged into a tube amp" sound....Awesome! #2 The Hi Z line in is great for line in (keyboard) levels. The mic in when used as is for guitars, bass, harp mics, etc.. works super well and keeps all the subtle  harmonics, making for easy mixing with little or no e.q.#3, Any mic transformer plugged in to "Mic In" can make it Lo Z for pro studio mics. A  plug in vintage Mic transformer is included, So- the preamp sound has that beautiful "open" Tube Essence...with ball zZ!  A very rugged,all metal color matched case to embellish the "groovy electronics" within.Preamp also comes with our New "Fun Recordings" guide for those who are intuitive but not too "tube savvy" Check out our(+) feedback  We pix other available goodies at our sites.
